The CBD Blogger Review
I visited my local head shop over the weekend and noticed that they had started stocking SPLYFT’s terpene infused cones.
I have been eyeing up SPLYFT’s real cannabis terpene infused cones for a long time now and had been meaning to try them, but never got around to ordering them online.
So I was very happy to see the local head shop had the full range of SPLYFT terpene infused cones in stock.
In the end, I decided to go with the Gelato and Gorilla Glue flavours.
Smell, Taste & Flavour:
When I initially popped open the very creatively branded cylinder glass tube, I guess what I was expecting was a stronger, more artificial flavour.
But I was pleasantly surprised that there was no strong artificial smell, but a nice subtle, pleasant almost hashy cannabis plant terpene aroma.
I can’t speak for the other flavours, but the Gelato and Gorilla Glue weren’t overpowering in both flavour or taste, however you could definitely notice the subtle almost hashish flavour, very similar to the terpene profile of the real Gorilla Glue and Gelato.
It’s for this reason, I will be picking up more of their other flavours to review on the blog soon.
I have been eyeing up their Blackberry Kush, Exodus Cheese and Tangie for the next time.
Effect & Smoking Experience:
Firstly I want to start with how pleasurable and smooth SPLYFT’s terpene infused cones are.
I’ve tried quite a few different of the popular brands of pre-filled raw cones on the market and I enjoy most of the brands if I’m honest.
However, SPLYFT’s terpene infused cones are slightly smaller, they hold a little less flower than your typical raw cone does.
This isn’t a negative though, the smaller thinner style cone gives the SPLYFT a really nice, slow burning smooth smoke. Definitely one of the nicest cones I have tried for smoking sensation, pleasure and how well the cone burns.
As someone who has a very high tolerance to cannabis, I definitely noticed an increased Indica effect from both the Gelato and Gorilla Glue terpene infused cones.
It’s not often I get the old classic strong Indica tiring, yawning, sedating, medicinal body effect from real flower these days.
But when it came to bedtime, I definitely noticed a difference in my level of relaxation whilst smoking the second Gorilla Glue terpene infused cone.
It was one of the rare occasions that I did get a decent night’s sleep, and I don’t know if that was purely coincidence, or if it was because the terpene infused cones synergized so well with the flower that I was smoking.
Either way, the SPLYFT terpene infused cone made for a nice treat and was a very pleasurable, tasty smooth smoke overall.
Overall:
I really enjoyed my smoking experience using SPLYFT’s cannabis terpene infused cones and as said above will hopefully get around to trying some of their other flavours in the near future when I get the chance.
The terpene infused cones give a really nice, smooth, slow burning smoke and with the addition of the subtle real hashy cannabis terpenes it adds to the effect and flavour.
I would have maybe liked a slightly stronger flavour overall, but I have to remember they are real cannabis derived terpenes and not botanical or synthetic/artificial, so they are natural and subtle in aroma.
I’m a huge fan of pre-filled cones due to the convenience. However, due to the price per one single cone, I would probably treat the SPLYFT terpene infused cones as a treat for special occasions.
Overall, definitely one of the nicest cones on the market I’ve sampled to date in terms of how nice the cone burns and smokes.
